Diamond Model of Partnership
The Diamond Model of Partnership ensures student success through four main facets.
The Diamond Model of Partnership ensures student success through four main facets.
Each student enrolled must have a primary responsible adult to monitor their progress and to assist the student in meeting the requirements of the PA Virtual curriculum.
This adult can be a parent, guardian, grandparent, another relative, or a trusted family friend. The Learning Coach needs to be available throughout the entire school day to facilitate learning.
The responsibilities of the Learning Coach include creating and managing school routines, supporting and instructing their students, communicating with teachers and staff, and performing administrative duties. As a Learning Coach, your partnership with PA Virtual will be a vital component of your child’s success.
All PA Virtual teachers are PA-certified experts in teaching and learning using the K12, Inc. and Edgenuity curricula. They focus on individual students and an interactive learning experience.
At PA Virtual, we have three academic programs: Elementary School (K-4), Middle School (5-8), and High School (9-12). Our state-certified teachers use their experience and expertise along with our rigorous curriculum to provide students with an interactive and engaging learning experience. Students have the opportunity to take synchronous (live) and asynchronous (independent) classes in all grade levels.

Our Family Support Coordinators serve as a regional contact for families. They organize monthly field trips and service-learning opportunities so students can socialize and connect with their classmates. Parent Ambassadors provide parents with support and resources to help each parent be a successful Learning Coach. Pupil Health staff ensure students are healthy and compliant with state regulations, and they also offer free health screenings for families.
We couple the highly-recognized K12, Inc. and Edgenuity curricula with state-of-the-art technology to enable customized learning for every student.
With curriculum developed specifically for online learning, and adaptive technology that meets students' needs — all provided at no cost to families — PA Virtual attendees are ready to dive in and succeed.
All students at PA Virtual receive a laptop, printer/scanner, headset, and curriculum. In elementary and middle school, we use the K12 curriculum, which consists of both online and hands-on materials that are shipped right to your home. In high school, our teachers use the online Edgenuity curriculum for instruction. All teachers supplement the curriculum with additional online tools and academic resources. To support your online learning experience, our technology team helps troubleshoot and solve issues with school hardware and software.
During my doctoral dissertation, I explored the role that parents play in their child’s online education — and the research further emphasized just how crucial both parent and teacher input are to virtual instruction. PA Virtual’s Diamond Model of Partnership embraces this type of research-based approach, and fosters student success.
