- PA Virtual has exceeded the state’s PSSA targets in Math and Reading for 7 years in a row.
- The PSSA is the Pennsylvania standardized test for reporting progress related to the No Child Left Behind Act.
- Each year the state sets the standard for the percentage of the student population that must score proficient and advanced in Math and Reading.

 The PA Virtual Family and Student Support Services Department recently received the Nicholas Cericola Memorial Award at the 2010 Family Involvement Conference for outstanding accomplishments in the area of family involvement. This conference is coordinated by Pennsylvania Coalition for Parent Involvement, who advocates the involvement of parents and families in their children’s education. |

PA Virtual Special Education Teacher Stacy McGowan and High School Teacher Cheryl Clothier were recently named Semi-Finalists for the 2013 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Teacher of the Year (NSTOY-PA) program.
