ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Grades/Subjects:
- K-4th grade teachers teach all subject areas.
Teaching:
- Multiple contacts with parents each month
- Individual online, live class sessions twice per month (K-4th grade teachers)
- Learning Link sessions once per month (online)
- Phone Calls (Conferencing with Parents & Students twice per month)
- Work from home using latest technology
Role of Teacher:
- Drive and moderate parent-assisted instruction
- Partner with each parent to support achievement
- Communicate requirements
- Answer questions and support student learning
- Collect portfolio assignments monthly and provide feedback
- Supplement courses with additional curriculum as necessary
- Recommend grade level promotion and retention
- Optional group sessions for discussions
- Attend School Outings, Discovery Days, Professional Developments, Testing, etc (other travel as necessary)
INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Grades/Subjects:
- 5th & 6th grade teachers teach all subject areas
Teaching:
- Multiple contacts with parents each month
- Homeroom sessions on online, live class sessions (once a week)
- Group online, live class sessions twice per week (reading and math focus)
- Phone Calls (Conferencing with parents & students once a month)
- Tutoring sessions with students
- Work from home using latest technology
Role of Teacher:
- Drive and moderate parent-assisted instruction
- Partner with each parent to support achievement
- Provide standards-based group online, live class sessions
- Communicate requirements to parents and students and answer questions
- Support student learning using personal learning plans
- Collect and grade work assignments
- Maintain Blackboard homeroom/courses for students and parents
- Maintain grade book for math, LA, science, and history
- Supplement courses with additional curriculum as needed
- Recommend grade level promotion and retention
- Attend School Outings, Discovery Days, Professional Developments, Testing, etc (other travel as necessary)
MIDDLE SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Grades/Subjects:
- 7th & 8th grade teachers teach in a quad (1 History, 1 Math, 1 Science & 1 English teacher in each quad)
Teaching:
- Multiple contacts with parents each month
- Online, live class sessions
- Office Hours
- Phone Calls (Conferencing)
- Work from home using latest technology
Role of Teacher:
- Provide standards-based synchronous instruction
- Partner with each parent to support achievement
- Communicate requirements
- Answer questions and support student learning
- Set deadlines for assignments
- Grade portfolio assignments and provide feedback
- Supplement courses with additional discussions, synchronous learning sessions, or other assignments as needed
- Recommend grade level promotion and retention
- Maintain their highly-qualified PA certification
- Maintain Office Hours
- Attend School Outings, Discovery Days, Professional Developments, Testing, etc (other travel as necessary)
HIGH SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Grades/Subjects:
- 9th – 12th grade teachers teach according to their area of certification
Teaching:
- Multiple contacts with parents each month
- Synchronous/Asynchronous Classes via an online, live class sessions
- Office Hours
- Phone contact as needed
- Work from home using latest technology
Role of Teacher:
- Provide standards-based synchronous/asynchronous instruction
- Partner with each parent to support achievement
- Communicate requirements
- Answer questions and support student learning
- Set deadlines for assignments
- Grade assignments and assessments and provide feedback
- Supplement courses with additional discussions, synchronous learning sessions, or other assignments as needed
- Recommend grade level promotion and retention
- Maintain their highly qualified certification
- Moderate social interaction activities (Student Counsel, Drama Team, E-pal Group, Chess Team, Etc.)
- Maintain Office Hours
- Attend School Outings, Discovery Days, Professional Developments, Testing, etc (other travel as necessary)
Current High School Curriculum:
- World History, American History, History Electives
- Math Fundamentals, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Math Electives
- Environmental Science, Earth Science, Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, Science Electives
- English Survey Course, American Literature, British Literature, World Literature, English Electives
Special Education Teaching Overview
Grades/Subjects:
- K – 6th, grade teachers teach all subject areas
- 7th – 12th grade teachers may provide Itinerant or Resource Room Support, or teach Learning Support Classes
Teaching:
- Special Education Support is provided through telephone conferences with parent and students, e-mail contact, and direct teaching using Elluminate and other strategies
- Work from home using latest technology
ROLE OF TEACHER (VARIES TO SOME DEGREE BY GRADE LEVEL):
- Support parent-assisted instruction
- Support parent with implementing IEP
- Partner with each parent and Regular Education Teacher to support achievement
- Develop IEPs and RRs and conduct IEP meetings
- Communicate requirements
- Answer questions and support student learning
- Collect work samples monthly and provide feedback
- Supplement courses with additional curriculum as necessary
- Maintain Special Education timelines and document compliance
- Attend School Outings, Discovery Days, Professional Developments, Testing, etc (other travel as necessary)

Compensation includes competitive salary commensurate with background, experience.
