We are currently accepting applications for the 2014-2015 School Year. We are so pleased that you are considering PA Virtual as part of your student’s educational future. Please note, students interested in enrolling in our kindergarten program for the 2014-2015 school year must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2014.

3 Easy Steps:

Please remember, this is the beginning of the enrollment process. Completing the application does not automatically enroll your student in PA Virtual Charter School. Your student must remain enrolled and attending with his or her current school until he or she officially starts with PA Virtual Charter School.

Step 1: Register your User Account, and Complete the Online Application Form

You can return to a previously started application at any time to complete your application by choosing the return to online application button. Please Note: Students wishing to enroll in our kindergarten program must be 5 years of age by September 1st, 2014.

Step 2: Submit Necessary Documents

After you have completed your online application, please download the PA Virtual Charter School Document Checklist and submit the necessary enrollment documents.

Step 3: Enrollment Conference

In order to complete the enrollment process, the parent and/or legal guardian of every student enrolling must attend a mandatory Enrollment Conference. You will have an opportunity to discuss your student’s academic courses and potential schedule. These conferences are intended to ensure families understand our instructional model and the expectations of the parents, school and student. Your Enrollment Representative will also verify your student’s information, explain school policies, and review the responsibilities of both the student and the Learning Coach. For verification purposes, please remember to bring the following original documents:

  • Driver’s License or Government Issued Photo ID
  • Student(s) Birth Certificate
  • Student(s) most recent Report Card

Enrollment Policy

PA Virtual Charter School is currently accepting eligible students in grades K-12 on a first-come, first-served basis. All students who reside in Pennsylvania are eligible to be admitted. Admission to the school is based on age as well as completion and submission of all enrollment forms and materials. PA Virtual Charter School is a public school open to residents of Pennsylvania and does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, family income, national origin, or disability.

Students who have been expelled from another school, or students who are currently involved in expulsion proceedings, because their behavior reflected concerns for their personal safety, or for the safety of others, will be reviewed individually and enrollment decisions will be made in full compliance with Pennsylvania law and with the State Board of Education regulations.

Discrimination Policy

It is the policy of the PA Virtual Charter School that no person be denied admission to the school or be denied participation in, be denied benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, student services, recreational or other program or activities, shall not be abridged or impaired because of the person’s sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability as required by state and federal statutes. This policy also prohibits discrimination as defined by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race and national origin) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (handicap).
