Testimonials

Hear from some of our Pioneer Families – who enrolled at PA Virtual in 2001, our first year!

What would you tell someone considering enrollment at PA Virtual Charter School?

I appreciate how as the children progress and mature more of the work is gradually put into their hands as they transition into real-time classes and self-study.
–Anne Marie Coryell

PA Virtual Charter School gives you the ability to work at your own pace — working ahead of grade level or going slower if needed.
–Wendy Booth

I recommend PAVCS because it has a very good curriculum and I believe children can best learn in an environment where they are encouraged, feel safe, and can learn at their own pace, their own way.
–Sharon Ruth

That there is a world of help available to you and you are not doing the schooling alone.
–Lee Ann & Scott White

Why do you re-enroll at PA Virtual Charter School each year?

A great education and teaching students to be independent learners. I think the High School format at PAVCS helps prepare students for college because they learn to deal with different teachers, teaching styles, students with different opinions, etc.
–Wendy Booth

My children continue to excel. They are developing a “love of learning,” not just a head full of facts. My children are mature beyond their years, well socialized across all age groups and have a confidence I do not see in many traditionally schooled children. I could not have done this alone; PAVCS is an important partner.
–Anne Marie Coryell

What made you want to enroll in PA Virtual Charter School?

The fact that my student would receive a top-notch education from top-notch teachers, and I did not need to know everything.
–Lee Ann & Scott White

I would say the curriculum. I was amazed and others were also with what the Kindergarten children were learning as compared to a brick and mortar school.
–Reva Taylor

What do you like most about PA Virtual Charter School?

The social networking and having not only one friend, but friends all over PA as well as the world. The fact we can choose her classes to learn what she wants and focus on what she will do with her life. We like the support from the teachers, as well as the one-on-one interaction.
–Lee Ann & Scott White

I love that I can have my kids at home with me, learning and instilling my values in them.
–Sharon Ruth
