PA Virtual discovered that students receive great mental and academic benefits when learning another language. Studies show that learning a second language increases cognitive development. PA Virtual offers a comprehensive Foreign Language program in all grades beginning with our youngest learners. Students in grades K-8 are offered the options of French or Spanish  Chinese is not offered at any level.

Students in grades K-1 are exposed to two  languages throughout the school year using our unique Language Wheel. Foreign Language teachers lead students through a journey through France and Spain learning about the culture and words of each country.

Students in grades 2-8 concentrate on learning one language (French, or Spanish ) through a standard curriculum and lessons to develop conversational skills with the Foreign Language teachers.

In High School, all students take two years of the same language (French, Spanish, Latin and German) to broaden their educational and cultural horizons.
